Building extension of the Youth Club
The second project of Kostas Filippakopoulos in Kryoneri, Corinthia, with free design and supervision, was the building extension of the Youth Cultural Club. A ground floor building was built in 1959 by the then Agropedagogical Association and the Community of Kryoneri, with funds from the Ministry of Agriculture, exactly where the old stone school was located, which had been built in 1886 by the then mayor and later prime minister Krokidas. The addition of the floor was financed by the Cultural Association of the Youth of Kryoneri from funds secured from the concerts of Socrates Malamas and Nikos Papazoglou at the Kryoneri Observatory and with the donation of 2.000.000 drachmas by the late D. Dritsas.
